Getting started and tutoring

How does tutoring with Tracy work?

One-to-one online sessions built around the gaps a learner actually has, arranged around your schedule. Places are limited. Enquire about tutoring

Who teaches?

Every session and every course is designed and delivered by Tracy Davis, a UK-qualified teacher (QTS) with more than 30 years’ experience.

Do you teach adults as well as children?

Yes. We work with GCSE students, home-educated learners, adults returning to maths for nursing or a career change, and children preparing for Common Entrance at 13.

The self-study courses

Are the online courses available to buy?

Not yet. We are rebuilding them and will not sell them until they are genuinely finished. Register your interest and we will let you know the moment they are ready.

Why can I not enrol right now?

We would rather pause than sell an unfinished course. When a course is ready, it will be ready in full.

What will the courses cover?

Structured GCSE Maths (Foundation and Higher), home-education GCSE Maths with family pricing, GCSE Maths for adults, and CE 13+ Maths. See the guides for each: GCSE, home education, nursing and adults, CE 13+.

GCSE Maths

Foundation or Higher, which tier?

Foundation for a grade 4 or 5 target, Higher for grade 6 and above. Our GCSE guide explains the choice.

Which exam boards do you cover?

The GCSE Maths content is common across AQA, Edexcel and OCR. We prepare for the content and the exam technique.

Home education

Can my child sit GCSE Maths without being in school?

Yes, as a private candidate at an exam centre. Our home-education guide walks through it.

Do you enter my child for the exam?

No. You arrange the exam entry with a centre. We prepare your child for it.

Adult learners and nursing

What GCSE Maths grade do I need for nursing?

Most routes ask for Grade 4/C, but requirements vary by provider and some accept Functional Skills Level 2. See the nursing and adults guide.

Can I study around shift work?

Yes. Tutoring is arranged around your availability, and preparation is self-paced.

CE 13+

What is CE 13+ Maths?

The maths part of Common Entrance, used by many independent senior schools for entry at 13. See the CE 13+ guide.

Safeguarding

Is Tracy DBS-checked?

Yes. Tracy holds an enhanced DBS check, available to view on request.

Are online sessions safe for under-18s?

Yes. We keep a safeguarding-first approach at all times, and a parent is welcome to be present for a child’s sessions.
